Flavia | Latina Traveler

A first generation Peruvian American, I'm a travel blogger, digital creator, freelance writer, and Founder of Latina Traveler. As a full time traveler, I have visited over 35 countries and lived in 5 to date. My interest in the travel industry led her to pursue two master’s degrees in the field: Tourism and Travel Journalism. In addition, I am the Founder of Latina Traveler, a platform created to inspire Women of Color to travel solo but safely and with confidence. I'm a freelance journalist with bylines in Fodor’s Travel and Hermosaz USA. As a public speaker, I have spoken at the Latino Travel Fest about my solo travels as a Latina. I'm currently based in Budapest, but have lived in New York, Lima, Buenos Aires, Paris, and Barcelona. I love connecting with my audience, so say hola whether online or IRL!

Hola Reader! This week quickly got away from me and I didn't get a chance to send this on Monday. But I actually have news related to my weekly Monday email. For the past 2 years I've been sending this email on a regular basis, but even though I have loved it I need a bit of a break. Normally I feel like I should be able to handle it all, but I've started learning to take breaks when I need them. I've been wanting to change the structure of this newsletter and for that I need to step back...

Hola Reader! This week has been buuusy! From Friendsgiving to creating future experiences for you, there's been lots going on! My previous neighbor invited us out to Setubal to her friend's Quinta, which is a farm, to have Friendsgiving with some of her friends. It was a nice escape into nature with a beautiful sunset. We got to have our meal right in the middle of vineyard, absolutely beautiful. * If you make a purchase through any affiliate links below, I may make a small commission at no...

Hola Reader! Today is the start of Hispanic Heritage Month! Now I live in Portugal and it's not really celebrated here, but of course I have to. Latin America is one of my favorite places in the world and even though each country is unique, there are lots of similarities and its the warmness of the people that I love the most. I may live far from there now, but in the future I do plan to go back and live in many countries especially Peru to spend more time with family. I can't stand what's...
